TSI Secure Information Guarantee
From October 2009, all personal computers, notebooks and servers by TSI Group will carry Recycling Guarantee labels. At their end of life, these can then be returned to TSI for guaranteed safe deletion and removal of all data from hard drives and other storage devices.
TSI Acting Group General Manager, Darryn Crothall says that the Secure Information Guarantee service has come about at the request of customers. "While hardware is being replaced or upgraded, several customers have raised the issue of security of the data on old computers and the like", says Crothall, "and this seemed a natural addition to our recently launched hardware Recycling Programme".
"We already directly support our client's software business systems, so the trust relationship with regard to their private data and intellectual property already exists. It makes sense that we are involved in ensuring that data is removed safely and permanently".
Like the TSI hardware recycling service, the secure information data removal is free and offered on all computer hardware and accessories sold by TSI Group.
All clients need do is return hardware with the Secure Information Guarantee label to the TSI Computer Engineering Department.
