SAM has been chosen as a recipient of a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Export Marketing grant.
"This is a huge boost to our export activity plans, especially over the next two to three years", says SAM general manager, Darryn Crothall, "We are already actively marketing overseas, but this will definitely allow us to accelerate our activity and increase our export business".
The marketing grant SAM has been awarded is highly sought after, with potential assistance of $100,000 per annum for 5 years. The only limitation is that funding is not available for marketing activity in Australia because of the CER relationship between the countries.
Crothall adds, "There have been such a large number of applicants for this limited funding that NZTE actually had a delay of several months just to handle the processing. Having been selected from such a large number of applicants clearly shows that our case for funding is strong and that NZTE agrees with us that our prospects internationally are very good with our home-grown software".
SAM sales and marketing staff plan to attend a number of expos and exhibitions around the world in coming months. Initially, sales of SAM's fleet management and maintenance systems are the first priority but interest in all categories of SAM software products has been registered already.
To date sales have been completed in 9 countries across Australasia, Asia and the Pacific.
