SAM Computer Systems Ltd is a privately owned, New Zealand company which is part of the TSI Group of Companies. TSI (formerly Systime) has been the market leader in providing specialist software solutions to the automotive and related industries for nearly three decades.

About UsOur Software
The company develops and supports two software products, SAM and Orion. SAM is a workshop management system that is currently installed in well over 1600 (mainly independent) workshops. Orion is a dealer management system (DMS) that is currently installed in over 270 business locations (mainly franchised dealerships). Approximately 100 new SAMs and 45 new Orions are commissioned, sold and installed annually throughout the country.

True Windows Technology
Both SAM and Orion are the leaders in their respective markets. SAM enjoys a 40% market share in the service and repair market and Orion is installed in well over twice the locations of its nearest DMS competitor. Both SAM and Orion employ the latest, genuine Windows technology and are constantly being developed and improved to incorporate any benefits that become available through innovation or technological advances.

Long Term Customer Relationships
Our average customer stays with us for over 10 years (some have been customers for 25 years) and our business model reflects this. The SAM business model is to build mutually beneficial, long term partnerships with our clients – and we have hundreds upon hundreds of satisfied clients who will attest to the fact that we have successfully achieved this. Our software products improve and enhance the business operations of our clients, dramatically increasing efficiency in many cases and producing a real and significant bottom-line return on their initial investment.

The strong relationships we have with customers are also based on the fact that our consultants have an intimate and thorough understanding of the industry and the business processes our clients use every day. Our staff members are employed directly from the industry in most cases and therefore understand exactly what our system users want and need in their working day. We have 15 dedicated software support consultants throughout the country – easily the largest support team of any software provider to the industry – covering every aspect of our client’s business operations. In particular, we have specialists in accounting (including two chartered accountants), user training, hardware and business consultancy to provide a total business support structure for our clients.

We consistently receive feedback from independent sources that our after sales service ranks 1st in our industry. Our customer loyalty and longevity reinforces this point, as do the many unsolicited comments, letters and emails we regularly receive from grateful clients and users. We don’t rest on our laurels, however. We constantly strive to improve our service levels and our software for the benefit of our clients.
